COURSE OVERVIEW
Course Length: 2 semesters
Course Program:
History and Geography 600 continues the process of developing in students an understanding of and appreciation for God’s activity as seen in the record of man and his relationships. This online school 6th grade is a comprehensive overview of world geography, continents and world development in which students visit and learn about culturally diverse countries as they investigate the mysteries of their histories. Through a look at the land and the people who live there, students are introduced not only to modern day culture, but are able to trace its origin to the events and movements that molded it. As students learn more about people, places, and cultures outside of the United States, they will also study the land and it's geography with emphasis on latitude and longitude, the hemispheres, and regional differences and similarities. Biblical materials infused throughout coursework help students to discuss and evaluate theories, practices, and events from a Christian perspective. The course units includes text-based lessons, on and off computer exercises, special projects, learning games, quizzes, and tests that appeal to today's digital generation and help teachers to evaluate progress and mastery of the materials.
