COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION
  • Under the Admissions heading on the NFC Academy website, use the Apply Now link which will take you to the NFC Academy Online Application.
  • We recommend creating your own account for the application so if needed you can leave the application and easily come back to it later.
  • If you are enrolling multiple students you can do so in the same application.
  • Check the calendar on this page in the section Select A Start Date for available start dates to use when completing the application.
  • When the application is complete just submit and we will get a copy of the application in our offices. On that day or the next work-day you will receive notification from our office that your application was received. Additional communication will come to you by email that records are being requested along with follow up from the Admissions office.
  • Additional communication will come to you by email when records are received. Often official records can take more than a week to receive. As noted below, we can use unofficial records to get students started either in their online courses or books shipped. See more details about unofficial records below.
  • The person handling your enrollment for enrolling courses or shipping books will contact you within three-schools days of receiving your application.
  • Students entering NFC Academy must not exceed the age of 19 years and 9 months in their senior year and must complete their senior year at no more than 20 years and 7 months.
ACADEMIC RECORDS NEEDED
After you submit the application NFCA will need previous academic records. Students can begin their courses with Unofficial Records. Official records will need to be received before the end of the first semester of work.
  • The best example of unofficial records are the most recent report card showing the grade level for 1st-8th grade.
  • The high school transcript is the most trusted record for high school grades 9-12 and the most recent unofficial copy will satisfy getting started. The official high school transcript is the official report for students in high school and is required by colleges and others when confirming high school evaluations.  If official records are received by the Academy and are different than the unofficial records that were used to create the Path to Graduation, then the student may be required to take additional courses as necessary to ensure that all graduation requirements are met.
  • Official records should be submitted before the end of the first semester of attendance.
  • A copy of the birth certificate is required.
SELECTING A START DATE
You can select your start date by checking the calendar for upcoming start dates.
  • Start dates are typically on Monday but when Monday is a holiday the following school day becomes the start date.
  • Records should be to the Academy office the Monday prior to your selected start date. As noted above we can start students with unofficial records which includes the most recent report card for grades 1-8 showing the student enrollment grade and academic grades for current courses. For high school unofficial copies of the high school transcript can be used. Official records must be received prior to the end of the first semester. Please ensure your unofficial copies of records are accurate to prevent your student from taking additional courses later.
  • The office handling your enrollment will send to you the Academic Plan (1-8) showing the courses for your year. Please sign this online document electronically to approve the courses.
  • The Path to Graduation will be sent to the home for students in high school (9-12) and will include the courses they have selected. Please sign the Path to Graduation electronically.
  • In the Book Program K-5 please complete the set-up of your Auto-Pay account. Books cannot be shipped until the account is set-up.
  • Students will receive their official Welcome Email with all login information prior to their official start date. Students may begin work prior to their official start date and that will not effect billing dates or end of year dates.
NFCA START DATES
For more details regarding the available start dates, click on the the dates that are indicated with a red circle.
FINANCIAL INFORMATION
Billing options included:
  • One annual payment due when student courses start.
  • Two equal semi annual payments due at the start of first semester and the start of second semester.
  • Payment option divided in 10 equal payments. The start date of the billing options will begin typically on the 1st of the month closest to the student’s start date.
Students who need an extension of the school year:
  • Students in all our programs can have extended times at the end of the scheduled school year.
  • One additional month at the end of the student’s school term. There is no additional charge for tuition for this additional month.
  • A second additional month if a student is working consistently. There is no additional tuition for students in the book program or the home teacher led online program. In the NFC Academy Teacher led program, if the student is at 90% of completion in their online courses there is no additional charge of tuition for this second extension. If students are below the 90% level of completion in the NFC Academy teacher led program  an additional month of tuition is charged. If there were weather related delays or other unavoidable circumstances causing the student delay in finishing as reviewed by the administration there may be no additional tuition charged.
  • Twelve calendar months is the maximum allowed time to complete academic work.
