Middlebury Interactive's introductory Spanish course provides a fun, engaging experience for a student's first exposure to the Spanish language in an Interactive setting. The content for each unit is based on an authentic story, myth or legend from various Spanish-speaking cultures. Although the course focuses principally on vocabulary acquisition, basic grammar principles are intuitively grasped through stories, games, activities, songs and assessments. In addition, students learn to perform simple tasks in connection with each unit's theme. Students begin to acquire tangible language skills in a supportive environment, gain familiarity with the sounds and rhythms of Spanish; learn simple Spanish phrases; begin to read, write, speak and listen for meaning in Spanish.
The Middlebury Spanish for K-2 is an additional tuition charge for those families wanting this optional course. |
The NFC Academy Elementary Daily Lesson Planner lays out each day's work as you are guided through each subject for the school year. You will finish on time as you follow our NFC Academy Daily Lesson Planner.
The Daily Lesson Planner and your school year work together. Major holidays are built into your school year like spring break, Thanksgiving, and Christmas break along with holidays like MLK, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and the other few single holidays of the year.

NFC Academy does offer an acceleration of math studies in the elementary grades when the student is ready. When the student is performing above the average in all their courses and significantly above the average in their math class the student may qualify for the acceleration of math at any year in the elementary grades.
Parents may request accelerated math for their student, and we will work together in reviewing records and performance to determine how to best meet this request. The typical goal for accelerating the math studies is the long-range look toward taking advanced math courses in high school. As we work together, we will provide the options that may accomplish such a goal. |
