World Geography takes students on a journey around the world in which they will learn about the physical and human geography of various regions. They will study the history of each region and examine the political, economic, and cultural characteristics of the world in which we live.

Students will also learn about the tools and technologies of geography such as globes, maps, charts, and global information systems.

  2. What Is Geography?
  3. Project: Note It!  (You probably already know that people have different ways of organizing their ideas. Some people make lists or outlines, some draw pictures, while others may combine these methods. Experiment with different note-taking techniques to find the one which works best for you. One common note-taking technique is webbing. Webbing uses the sizes of circles to indicate the importance of items. Lines are used to indicate the relationships between items. Let's use webbing to start to take notes on the information presented in Lesson One of World Geography.  Notice the webs created in the project and use this concept in this unit. If this concept helps you learn the material then continue with the concept.  If this is not your study method then it is expected that you will have one that allows you to learn and discuss the information presented.)
